Hi everyone, with remote work starting to take off, it’s a better time than ever to review some of our favourite apps for working remotely. We are lucky that we live in a day and age where there is so much potential to still get the job done even if you can’t get to your office! Below are some of the apps we use as an established location independent company!

Intuit QuickBooks

Quickbooks Online makes staying organized with our finances SO easy. Their app allows us to check in anywhere. We love setting up our clients on Quickbooks, it’s just one of the many great financial management apps we can choose form. One of the best features of Quickbooks is that it integrates with many other apps so it is a great tool for automating your business processes.

Revolut is finally in Canada! We use this for global fee-free spending, instant payment notifications and free international money transfers. If you are looking for better exchange rates when transferring money abroad, Revolut is the app for that!

Dropbox is a cloud program that acts as an online vault for files and folders. It keeps our documents organized and easily accessible. We love how their plans aren’t only tailored to larger-scale businesses, they also offer plans for small teams of just three users.

Receipt Bank

Receipt bank is amazing for taking care of your bills processing from anywhere. You can quickly take a picture of my receipt and it is automatically stored in the cloud. Come tax time you have all your receipts available at the click of a mouse. It also allows you to forward or upload receipts directly from your email.

When it comes to contracts Docusign is our go-to. You can create, sign and send documents quickly.

Zoom is a video conferencing app which allows us to have meetings with our clients and our team from anywhere and across all of our devices. They offer a free version as well which is suitable for smaller businesses which are just starting out. We love the simplicity of the software and the user-friendly interface

Social Media

We, of course, can’t forget social media channels such as LinkedIn and Facebook. They help business like ours stay connected and up to date in industry updates and news.
